Inochi is by far the best martial arts academy that I have ever attended! Paul Haben provides high end technical instruction and cares about his students. He is a great asset to the community, and I am thankful that I live close by to be part of this gym. He provides training for all ages and skill levels and above all, is a valued mentor and Christian example to all.
Outstanding Coach and Gym! Paul Haben at Inochi Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts is an incredible instructor and mentor. His passion for teaching and his dedication to every student really stand out. He takes the time to help each person improve, whether you’re a beginner or experienced, and creates a positive, motivating environment that pushes you to be your best. The gym is welcoming, clean, and full of great people who support each other. You can tell Paul truly cares about building confidence, discipline, and skill in everyone he trains. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to grow in martial arts and mindset!
Inochi has quickly become my jiu jitsu home The Haben family has truly built up something special. As an adult- who trains at Inochi Mixed Martial Arts you can expect to receive the best Jiu Jitsu training. Mr. Haben incorporates a mix of many different martial arts in a way that revolves around self-defense and real-life application that you wont find anywhere else. When you train here, you can expect to learn self-discipline, gain confidence, be challenged physically, grow as a good human, and will be blessed with amazing friendships. There are many uniquely diverse people who attend classes from all fitness levels and walks of life. As a woman who trains here, I have never felt uncomfortable, there is a great community of people, men and women who are so kind and supportive. As a parent- who has a child in the Foundations 1 class and the Little Dragon’s class I will say that I truly appreciate that my children are not only learning “just” jiu jitsu, but they are learning to be good people, and are influenced by great coaches and peers. My 6 year old started BJJ timid and anxious, I could count how many people he has spoken to on one hand. Now 5 months later he is making eye contact with peers and adults, speaking to his friends and coach, and has gained so much confidence. This is solely a result of the program and efforts put into place at Inochi. Mr. Haben takes the time to ensure that these children have the values and life skills that they need to walk through life with purpose and in excellence. He is also the most patient man I have ever met. There has been a number of classes where my 4 year old has not made the best choices. Somedays I have to hand off my crying belligerent child and trust the process. Mr. Haben caringly works with my child, but holds him accountable for his actions. He is learning how to learn, and learning that he is responsible for his own actions.
I jumped into a class here not knowing what to expect, but I was astounded by how welcoming the gym is and how everyone there works together. Paul Haben has built an incredible culture of support and encouragement, with hard work in I think the right places. While I bounce around trying different styles of martial arts to see what I like, I keep thinking of Inochi and how great my experience was there. I would go just for the culture that is there. I told my partner that I'd like to take her to Inochi because I would feel comfortable with her there and wouldn't worry at all about her safety. Thank you for a great time and hope to see y'all soon!
I have been attending Paul's gym for a little over two months. I have never done any kind of training regarding self-defense. So I took the plunge and did the walk-in and have not looked back since. The entire experience has been super positive. The more senior level students are very accommodating to clumsy newbies. To the extent that I feel like they're almost sacrificing their own training. One should not have any hesitation to come out and give it a go. I'm forty eight. It's never too late to try something new. Additionally, I had my daughter, who is 11 in his class over summer. The instructors are super friendly and very good with children, especially Paul's son Josiah. MMA is one of the best workouts mentally and physically that i've done. My running index score has actually gone up twenty points since I started training there. I also joined Paul's weight lifting portion of the gym. I was at 1 of the large national chains but their lack of free weights made it difficult for me to get the type of workout that I needed. The people at Paul's gym are equally friendly. Everyone says good morning to each other and takes time to say hello. It's very refreshing. All ages are represented. We have folks in their seventies and up and young adults in their late teens.
