Reviews
Warrior Meets Scholar is the only gym in St. George that offer high quality instruction and equipment. The owner is extremely humble and highly knowledgeable in all the areas he teaches. The Muay Thai is so much fun and Marcus makes it very easy for me to learn and feel comfortable while doing it. Being a Marine Corps veteran with brain injuries finding a coach who is safe with me during training is very important to me and I trust Marcus fully as a coach. The prices are more affordable than other places in town and the quality is exponentially more. Do yourself a favor and try it out!
Marcus is very knowledgeable instructor and has tremendous skill in many areas of combat/self defense!! Definitely pushes people to be better and learn the skills! He offers a verity of classes that are definitely affordable!!
I’m a 60 year old veteran with a replaced right knee and four steel rods in my left ankle. I called Marcus, the owner and trainer a few weeks ago to get some information about his different classes. I was a little apprehensive because of my age, injuries and condition. Marcus assured me they would all be fine. I took an introductory classes in the three areas that interested me then started taking Urban Fighting Concepts and Muay Thai classes. The training sessions have been great, difficult and intensive, but great. I feel I have learned a lot and really enjoy the attentive training by Marcus. Marcus is very personable and cares about quality training. If you’re looking for a way to get into shape, learn new skills or become better at what you already know I highly recommend Warrior Meets Scholar. I look forward to continuing to learn and develop my skills and abilities and rebuild confidence. Thank you Marcus for what you do and your willingness to share your skills and abilities.
If you want to get in shape and see improvements in your technique fast I can definitely recommend warrior meets scholar. I've trained at over a dozen different gyms across the country and even a couple in Brazil and I can say Warrior Meets Scholar does it right! Great high quality instruction and a great team feel. Coach Marcus knows his stuff. Very solid Muay Thai training and he is really good at incorporating additional traditional martial arts into practical use in Muay Thai or even MMA setting.
Warrior Meets Scholar is definitely the place to go for martial arts. Whether you’re a nervous beginner or experienced in the sport, Coach Marcus will guide you to be better and more confident! He knows what he’s doing and the Muay Thai classes are the best!
