A family business that works to not only teach kids martial arts but also be a "third place" offering parents' nights out, clear and consistent communication and a method that can even work for very little kids! Everyone who works there truly cares and it's really wonderful to be a part of it!

My son attends Taekwondo and Jiu-Jitsu classes, and he is absolutely thrilled! The instructors and staff are incredibly supportive and make everyone feel like family. The environment is welcoming, encouraging, and focused on growth. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!

I have trained at multiple Muy Thai and martial art schools in the past. By far, VT’s Muy thai program is the best I have seen. VT’s attention to detail, commitment to proper technique, and his desire to genuinely see his students grow sets his program apart from almost all others I have seen. His classes are difficult and not for those just looking for a pat on the back or to be praised for sloppy technique, as he pushes all of his students hard. However, for anyone looking to genuinely improve or learn Muy Thai and excel quickly, as well as gain discipline and develop themselves as a person, VT’s Muy Thai program is the best you can find.

This is the second martial arts academy we've tried in Parker and it has been awesome. The teachers are very attentive and provide a great balance of fun with discipline. It’s thrilling to see my child’s confidence grow and I love the incorporation of “homework.”

Our son has been attending classes for a month and a half and has loved it! Master Nick and Ms. Kristin are fantastic and are great instructors. Very happy we found this academy!

Frequently Asked Questions

IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Parker Academy of Martial Arts. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?

No experience necessary! Parker Academy of Martial Arts welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, comfortable athletic clothing works perfectly — a t-shirt and shorts or athletic pants. Once you commit to training regularly, you'll want to invest in a gi (kimono). Our coaches can recommend quality options at a range of price points.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?

Most students at Parker Academy of Martial Arts train 2 to 3 times per week and see consistent progress. Showing up regularly matters far more than training intensely once in a while. We offer multiple class times throughout the week so you can find a schedule that fits your life.

DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR KIDS?

Yes! We offer dedicated programs for children and teens at Parker Academy of Martial Arts. Our youth classes focus on discipline, respect, confidence-building, and the fundamentals of BJJ in a safe, fun environment.
