I’m a truck driver and I try to train on the road whenever I have the chance. Finding a place where I can actually park a semi-truck nearby is a huge deal, and this spot was perfect for that. I dropped in for the Saturday Open Mat and the welcome I received exceeded all my expectations. From the very first minute, I felt like I had been training there for years. I had some great rounds with guys at various skill levels, and I was honestly surprised by the high turnout! The atmosphere is friendly, respectful, and professional. It’s clear why this club has such a great reputation. I’m happy to add my 5 stars to the mix and I’ll definitely be back whenever my route allows. Thanks to everyone for the great training session!💪💪
Guetho BJJ is an amazing place to train. I was passing through Amarillo for work and dropped in for a couple classes. Professor David was so welcoming that I felt like I had known him for years. Professor Jack is a world class instructor and was extremely detailed when explaining techniques. Thank you Guetho BJJ Amarillo for the warm welcome and allowing me to train with you all. If you are considering Brazilian jiu jitsu, Guetho is the Texas panhandles number one school!
I've been training at Guetho Texas BJJ since 2017, working my way up to brown belt. The instruction here is top tier, and world class. If it's fitness you seek you'll get it. Competition itch from wrestling back in the day, that just won't go away? We have several world champions that train everyday. You want to find friends? No better place in the world. Big thanks to the black belt team: Owners Chad Smith and David Parker bring real expertise and a steady energy to everything, Head Coach Jackson Silva shares his deep competition-honed knowledge with precise, practical breakdowns that elevate your game at every level, and Elizabeth Clark leads dedicated women's classes that empower participants and build serious confidence on the mats. The community here is like family—everyone rolls together across belt levels, supporting each other through every drill and live sparring session. Classes are challenging yet balanced, helping folks get in top shape while sharpening that mental edge and forging unbreakable bonds. If you're thinking about BJJ, give Guetho Texas BJJ a shot. It's a solid place to grow on the mats. Highly recommend! 🥋
I had an awesome experience training here in Amarillo. I was just passing through town for work and had a free evening and decided to drop in for some training. I was immediately welcomed at the door and then proceeded to have a great session full of skilled partners, I’m still fairly new and rolled with some advanced people And they made me feel safe as I can’t risk an injury on the road. There was only one partner who was pretty rough and when I told him I had had enough, he respected that. If that wasn’t enough, they were kind enough to loan me a gi and give me a ride back to my hotel. Thanks and I hope to drop in again soon.
Went for a free class the other day. The professors where amazing and very helpful giving me tons of guidance to make sure I was hitting all the drills right. 10/10 would recommend for people of all levels!!
