This incredible gym has been a part of our family for almost 6 years now. Even after moving out of town for a brief time, they welcomed us back with open arms. I guarantee you will not find a more positive training environment anywhere else. I know my girls are receiving top notch instruction from coaches who are constantly sharpening their own skills so they can bring the best instruction to every class. Whether you have never stepped foot on a mat, or have been training for years, Gracie Burlington will give you skills that you will use for the rest of your life.

There are some places that when you walk in, it feels like home. This is unquestionably one of them. They have classes for kids of all ages, adults of all shapes and sizes. Experts to run the classes in an environment that makes you feel welcome. Truly one of a kind, by the kind of people, who simply aim to help folks be the best version of themselves. It takes a village to raise a family, and these are definitely folks you want to have in yours.

This place has been such a blessing to my family! Three of my kids have done classes and learned so much! They have a way of making a huge difference! Mr Spenser has taught not only self defense but also confidence in so many.

Gracie Burlington is an amazing gym! The owners and instructors are top notch. Spenser is an amazing instructor and can get even the most timid and shy of kids to open up. He instills confidence, grace and poise into all of his students. I am so glad that my family has become part of the Gracie Burlington family!

Frequently Asked Questions

IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Gracie Burlington Jiu Jitsu. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?

No experience necessary! Gracie Burlington Jiu Jitsu welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, comfortable athletic clothing works perfectly — a t-shirt and shorts or athletic pants. Once you commit to training regularly, you'll want to invest in a gi (kimono). Our coaches can recommend quality options at a range of price points.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?

Most students at Gracie Burlington Jiu Jitsu train 2 to 3 times per week and see consistent progress. Showing up regularly matters far more than training intensely once in a while. We offer multiple class times throughout the week so you can find a schedule that fits your life.

DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR KIDS?

Yes! We offer dedicated programs for children and teens at Gracie Burlington Jiu Jitsu. Our youth classes focus on discipline, respect, confidence-building, and the fundamentals of BJJ in a safe, fun environment.
