Ethos BJJ (formerly Uzcategui BJJ)
Reviews
5 stars, highly recommend!! Couldn’t ask for a better gym! I’ve been training for 10 years, and the professors here are exceptional — their attention to detail in instruction is top-notch. Classes strike a great balance between technical teaching and live rolling/sparring, making every session both challenging and rewarding. Most importantly, everyone looks out for each other, and safety is always top of mind. They also offer an excellent kids’ program, and the facility itself is outstanding — a full free-weight and CrossFit-style area with squat racks, turf, cardio machines, rings, and pull-up bars (free to use for members!) Whether you’re looking to compete, learn self-defense, or impart useful skills for your kids, there’s a place for you at Ethos!
I started Jiu-Jitsu at 56 with no combat sports background and wasn’t sure what to expect. From day one, the Ethos Jiujitsu community welcomed me with open arms. The coaches and teammates are encouraging, patient, and genuinely invested in helping everyone improve. Over time, this place has become like family. If you’ve ever thought it’s too late to start — it’s not. Come try it out.
I’ve been training at Ethos for roughly three years now. I love my couches and the variety of skill they offer with different backgrounds. We are like a family to each other and train hard! 110% recommend anyone to come train here.
I’m heading onto 3 months of training here at Ethos. I can say, without a doubt, that this experience has been nothing short of outstanding. From the fundamental knowledge the instructors share, to the atmosphere of humility that brings forth a safe and rewarding environment. I’m on a mission to bring my siblings, my cousin, and all those I love, to train here with me. This place is legit. I look forward in whats to come of my Jiu-Jitsu journey here at Ethos.
I've been training at Ethos Jiu Jitsu for more than several years. Tyler Howell is the head instructor of the gym now. Great adult and kids programs plus an amazing family friendly place. There are beautiful mats, a full work out facility and showers. 24 hr access once you become a member. All of the instructors are very proficient and very cool and laid back - but they bring it! We train very hard at Ethos. Shark tanks, 10 minute rolls, some tough competitors there. Simultaneously, if you are over fifty or even over 55, like me, you can play harder some days and then find people to roll a little less intensely with on some of the other recovery days. And if you are 21 well there's guys and gals that will go at it with you seven days a week twice a day if you want. Great exercise and great atmosphere. Highly recommended. 🤙😎👊
