Absolutely amazing. The instructors are top notch. Clean and extremely friendly. My granddaughter has so much fun learning Jiu-Jitsu. I highly recommend.

My son (was 7 when he started) started attending Alliance in December 2024 and we wanted to add more activities to his schedule and this was definitely the right choice for him. My son has since grown a lot has made friendship and is now surrounded with like-minded individuals and parents that care just as much as we do. When you join this team you are joining a God fearing family. My son yesterday took his gold necklace off, one that he's had since he was a baby and left it on a bench. Where people come and go but needless to say, the next day I was informed that they had the necklace safe and sound. This made me feel so happy and it made me realize even more what a wonderful place this was and I'm so happy to be a part of. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

I spent a week training while in Venice on vacation and from the time I entered the academy I was greeted with a warm welcome and smiles. Professor Fabio has built an amazing community here and you can tell by the way his coaches and students trained and treated eachother on and off the mats. There was a great mix of beginners,hobbyists, and high level competitors. I wish I could train longer as I learned a great amount in my short time here. Super clean and safe place to train. Highly recommend! My son started at 4 years old. If you know our Bear, you know he’s strong, big, and a little wild..and we love him for it. In OT/PT, he had to learn to use that strength well.. while other kids carried around blankets, they literally suggested we decorate a gallon of water for him to haul around instead. (They weren’t joking!) When he aged out, it was clear we needed something to help him burn his big energy/strength and steward that wild, free spirit God gave him. They suggested something like Jiu Jitsu or wrestling to help exercise his muscles. Alliance Jiu Jitsu Venice has been just that answer to prayer. Coach Fabio is the real deal; someone we trust to meet our son right where he’s at and guide him as he grows. He’s always been our bull in a china shop… but we really believe this is the start of something so good for him! This has been SO worth it.

Started training at this gym because it was the only one in the Venice area offering a 6AM class and that works best with my schedule. This gym is awesome and professors are top tier! Great gym!

IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Alliance Venice Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Team. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?

No experience necessary! Alliance Venice Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Team welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, comfortable athletic clothing works perfectly — a t-shirt and shorts or athletic pants. Once you commit to training regularly, you'll want to invest in a gi (kimono). Our coaches can recommend quality options at a range of price points.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?

Most students at Alliance Venice Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Team train 2 to 3 times per week and see consistent progress. Showing up regularly matters far more than training intensely once in a while. We offer multiple class times throughout the week so you can find a schedule that fits your life.

DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR KIDS?

Yes! We offer dedicated programs for children and teens at Alliance Venice Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Team. Our youth classes focus on discipline, respect, confidence-building, and the fundamentals of BJJ in a safe, fun environment.
