Sylvio Behring Association

The Sylvio Behring Association is led by Master Sylvio Behring, an 8th-degree coral belt who began training jiu-jitsu in 1966 and received his black belt in 1984. Behring developed his signature Progressive System of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu around 1992, a structured curriculum now foundational to the association. With over 200 black belts graduated and academies in Brazil, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Namibia, and the UAE, SBA is one of the most respected lineage-based BJJ organizations in the world.
