GF Team

GF Team (Grappling Fight Team) was founded in 1996 at Universidade Gama Filho in Rio de Janeiro by Julio Cesar Pereira, originally focused on university-level competition grappling. The team rebranded to GFTeam in 2007 as many athletes transitioned into MMA, and grew into one of the largest BJJ organizations in the world with over 150 branches on every continent. Headquartered in the Méier neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, GF Team is known for producing world-class competitors at all belt levels.
