We really have loved Xtreme Gracie! My son has loved going to his classes. I love that we can go as many times as we want for his age range. (Four times!) It was easy to stop for the summer and restart again once school started, and I like that there are no contracts. I added the gym membership on so I can workout during his classes. And the way it’s set up is that there are no walls between the gym and the mats, so I can see and hear his whole class! Coach Ryan has been amazing at teaching my son self-defense and keeping all kids (often a large group) safe and on task! We have had a positive experience with single person who works there!
I had an absolute blast training at this school. This is a SUPER NICE GYM full of good people. They've also got great instructors (looking at you, Sunshine!) and friendly students. If you happen to be down in the Clermont area, Xtreme Gracie is the spot to go to! Do yourself a favor and check this place out, you won't be disappointed! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
If you are we looking for the Best of the Best, congratulations you have found it. From the Professor down this place is A+ 100% the best martial arts facility you can ever come across. Great for all ages young and old any physical condition. A+ all stars here!
Excellent environment, awesome staff member and team. Coach Sunshine and coach Ryan are the best, always going over everything, regardless if you're a beginner, mid level or expert. They'll fill you in with everything (as long a you don't get lost in the sauce). Xtremely recommended even for kids as well. Always a pleasure to train and grow with all of my train partners.
When I first arrived at Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu, I was searching for an outlet that weightlifting alone couldn’t provide. After visiting several gyms, I walked into Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu and was greeted by Janie’s warm and cheerful demeanor. She introduced me to Brandon, and the moment I met him, I felt a presence that conveyed his deep experience in fighting. His energy and confidence confirmed that I had found the right instructor to guide me on my journey. Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai at this gym have provided more than just physical training. They’ve been instrumental in helping me manage life’s pressures, teaching me the importance of precision and energy in combat. Much like weightlifting builds physical strength, these disciplines enhance mental resilience and discipline. The structured practice of these arts strengthens cognitive functions through cerebral oxygenation and breath work, akin to how exercise boosts physical capacity. Instructors at Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu The instructors at Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu are exceptional. Brandon’s profound experience and reassuring presence set the tone for high-quality instruction. Ryan, another key instructor, ensures that everyone is safely executing techniques while also paying attention to our mental well-being. His vigilance and care provide a comforting sense of security, knowing that our safety and personal growth are top priorities in this demanding environment. While occasional challenges with individual temperaments are understandable, the overall dedication and support from the instructors make for a positive and nurturing training atmosphere. Advice for Newcomers For those considering joining, it’s crucial to approach training with commitment and resilience. Show up consistently, even when motivation is low or obstacles arise—every class is an opportunity to learn and progress. It’s easy to come up with excuses, but the key to advancement is perseverance. Instead of waiting for the perfect conditions or until you’re in better shape, come as you are and focus on gradual improvement. If you’re out of shape or dealing with a previous injury, start slowly and build up your strength over time. The supportive environment at Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu is designed to help you progress at your own pace. Avoid comparing yourself to others; instead, focus on surpassing your own benchmarks from the day before. Maintaining a strong commitment and proactive attitude is essential. Consistent attendance is crucial for making meaningful progress and integrating into the gym’s community. The encouragement and support from both instructors and fellow students will help you overcome challenges and achieve your goals. In summary, Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu is more than just a gym; it’s a place where physical skills and mental fortitude are developed within a supportive and evolving community. Show up, stay committed, and you’ll find a rewarding experience both on and off the mats.
Frequently Asked Questions
IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?
Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.
DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?
No experience necessary! Xtreme Gracie Jiu Jitsu welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?
