Reviews
I was in St. Louis, Missouri for three weeks on a work trip and had the opportunity to train at Watson’s Martial Arts Jiu-Jitsu during that time. Kyle Watson, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and generous, allowing me to train for free for the entire three weeks. Kyle runs a great gym and clearly cares about both the quality of instruction and the culture he’s built. The environment was friendly, respectful, and professional, and I felt comfortable training there from day one. Even coming from a different academy—I'm currently training under Marcello Montero BJJ—I was treated with nothing but respect and hospitality.
The head instructor, Professor Kyle, and his team are not only highly knowledgeable but also genuinely care about each student’s progress. Many members talk about how Kyle remembers names, connects personally with people, and makes everyone feel comfortable from day one. Best mma academy in whole st Louis, highly recommended 👌
This is a great gym. Very nice front desk staff, Kyle was extremely welcoming, as well as the other students. Starting Jiu Jitsu or visiting a new gym can be very intimidating but this gym makes you feel right at home. Great workout, high level instruction, very friendly atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back 🤘
Watson Martial Arts is the real deal. Kyle is a super humble and knowledgeable black belt. I always judge a gym by its culture and Watson is top tier. People want to roll and are kind but also compete.
Came through town for a visit and was looking for a place to get some BJJ roles in and was recommended Watson from another gym. I connected with Kyle the owner and was immediately impressed with how welcoming and hospitable he treated me and my friends who came along. Made it to a couple classes and had a great time. Shout out to Nick one of the coaches who did a great job teaching. Racheal at the desk was also very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended Watson Martial Arts for anyone looking for a good place to train with good people around.
