At the Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Delaware, we offer authentic Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instruction inside Pat Caputo's American Karate Studio at 1812 Marsh Road in Wilmington. Our program is directly affiliated with Royce Gracie — the UFC pioneer who proved to the world that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu could defeat larger, stronger opponents through technique, leverage, and timing.

The curriculum follows the Royce Gracie program, teaching the self-defense principles that made Gracie Jiu-Jitsu famous: controlled take-downs, ground dominance, and submission finishing from every position. Classes run from Little Dragons programs for children as young as four through Junior and Adult Martial Arts for older students, ensuring that entire families can train together in a martial art that genuinely works.

Pat Caputo's American Karate Studio has served Wilmington's martial arts community for decades, and the addition of the Royce Gracie program brings one of BJJ's most storied lineages directly to northern Delaware. Students here train under an authentic Gracie pedigree in a facility with deep roots in the community.

WHAT AGE CAN CHILDREN START?

Our Little Dragons program begins at age four. We also offer a Junior program for children ages six and up, covering Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals alongside discipline and respect.

DO YOU TEACH SELF-DEFENSE OR SPORT BJJ?
