I had the utmost privilege to study under Marcus for about 3 years. He is absolutely the real deal and an incredible instructor. A gentle killer:) I have an extensive background in martial arts and this was such an honor to have him as my teacher!! I learned so much and all of his black belts and students are seriously amazing! Great academy I truly cannot say enough about Marcus!! Renzo Gracie JiuJisu Academy is an amazing place to learn and practice BJJ. Marcus is highly skilled and patient jiu jitsu instructor for adults and kids. My husband has being training here for about 10 years and our kids started classes at age of 5. We train here at least 3 times a week and we love coming together for open mat on Saturdays. The kids classes are amazing because the children have lots of fun learning the tecniques, so they always look forward to the next class. Last but not least, the Women Self Defense Classes on Saturdays are absolutaly amazing. If you're thinking about trying out Brazilian jiu jitsu, this is right the place. I highly reccomend Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy.

Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy of Boca Raton. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?

No experience necessary! Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy of Boca Raton welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, comfortable athletic clothing works perfectly — a t-shirt and shorts or athletic pants. Once you commit to training regularly, you'll want to invest in a gi (kimono). Our coaches can recommend quality options at a range of price points.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?

Most students at Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy of Boca Raton train 2 to 3 times per week and see consistent progress. Showing up regularly matters far more than training intensely once in a while. We offer multiple class times throughout the week so you can find a schedule that fits your life.
