I can’t say enough about this gym. I work in the medical field and know my way around exercise but had zero energy and low motivation when it came to taking care of myself. I knew strength training was important but weight machines and going to the gym for solo workouts wasn’t it for me. I have a life long problem with one of my legs and in less than a year I’m surpassing all the expectations I had when starting at Phoenix. I am going to need a new way to refer to my “bad” leg now. Maybe “left” leg is in order 😊The mental health benefits and improved energy have been very welcome too. All of the trainers and staff are the perfect mix of kind and supportive but rest assured they are going to motivate and encourage you to do things you weren’t so sure were possible. You can be an athlete, someone who has never worked out before and anything in between and still find what you need here. The class sizes are small and there is a lot of one on one attention with focus on proper form which I appreciate. Shout out to my fantastic trainer Casey and everyone I’ve met here for being exactly what I was looking for…it’s never too late! My schedule is crazy but I can always find a class time or open gym to fit in my workouts. Never thought I would be sad the gym was closed due to weather but here I am missing the gym this week! (This prompted me to write a review as normally I’d be happy to have an excuse not to go!) Good thing they post the workouts for the week ahead of time and I can do my best at home today. I wonder how much this couch weighs…sled pull time!!

I am a competitive swimmer and recently joined Phoenix for dryland training exercises. The strength training classes are probably some of the best strength training workouts I have ever done. It’s great to have Lacy and Casey as coaches to correct form and socialize with other people during these workouts. Working on my cardio by doing Muay Thai kickboxing classes with Robert has been a ton of fun. And having structure in place during my gym visits makes it easy and enjoyable to go to the gym. Thanks to Renee and Ethan for putting together an amazing gym and I would suggest others to try out Phoenix!

Phoenix is a great place. Working out really is fun and the people were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is peaceful. Everyone feels like family here. The instructor was awesome and made sure you did your full workout. The owners are very nice . The front desk guy is very friendly and helpful. . The workouts is great. You can have your personal workout or groups. I love the groups very motivated. From my observation and talking to some ladies who been there over 5 years I really see the result of their strength. I am a beginner but they were much stronger than me. The years paid of with beautiful results.

This gym is AMAZING! From the very moment you walk in you can feel the amount of care the owners, Ethan & Renee, have put into curating a space that embodies the essence of martial arts. From the tasteful art, to the kind and hardworking staff, to the amenities graciously catering to the comfort of all the sweaty individuals being worked out- every detail is of the highest quality. The ONLY “complaint” that I can muster up is to say: Drill more, Talk less! For all of us psychopaths that want to die on the mat heheheh! Either way FANTASTIC FACILITY 🎖️

IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Phoenix Fitness & Martial Arts. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?

No experience necessary! Phoenix Fitness & Martial Arts welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, comfortable athletic clothing works perfectly — a t-shirt and shorts or athletic pants. Once you commit to training regularly, you'll want to invest in a gi (kimono). Our coaches can recommend quality options at a range of price points.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?

Most students at Phoenix Fitness & Martial Arts train 2 to 3 times per week and see consistent progress. Showing up regularly matters far more than training intensely once in a while. We offer multiple class times throughout the week so you can find a schedule that fits your life.

DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR KIDS?
