A parent’s perspective. If you are looking for a top notch club that will give your child the tools to be the best wrestler they can be look no further than Iron Faith. Top notch facilities is just the beginning. The Jarrells and their staff are outstanding coaches and mentors. They have fostered a room full of hard working wrestlers that support and push each other to improve every day. My oldest started here about six months ago and since my youngest and two nephews have joined. I am very happy they found a club like this.

My son Dominic has been training at Iron Faith Wrestling Club for 10 weeks now and he loves it! He has never ever wrestled or did any organized sports before Iron Faith and he has already competed in numerous tournaments and even won first place at one of the tournaments! Coach Ebed and his team are the best and we truly recommend Iron Faith Wrestling Club for anyone who wrestles or wants to wrestle!

Fantastic club. The camps are worth checking it out! My 8 year old gains so much from a day of intensive skill development with individualized attention. Not only is he getting better, but he is having FUN doing it! The camps help him to fall even more in love with the sport, all while working hard and spending time with his friends and coaches.

Great information and content. As a wrestling coach, I love getting input and feedback from others. The way Iron Faith has everything set up is easy to follow and user friendly. I could not recommend Iron Faith Wrestling higher enough. Do not hesitate to get involved with this program.

Frequently Asked Questions

IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Yes! We welcome anyone curious about BJJ to come in for a complimentary trial class at IRON WILL MMA. No experience is necessary — just wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a positive attitude. We'll have you on the mats learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals from day one.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START TRAINING?

Absolutely not. IRON WILL MMA welcomes complete beginners and our coaches are specifically trained to bring new students up to speed. Our beginner curriculum covers the core positions, escapes, and submissions at a pace that lets you build real skills without feeling overwhelmed. Most of our students started with zero grappling background.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR OR BRING TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, just wear clean athletic clothing — board shorts and a rash guard or a t-shirt and leggings work great. We recommend leaving jewelry at home and trimming your fingernails and toenails for everyone's safety. If you decide to continue training, we'll help you get fitted for a properly sized gi.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN TO SEE PROGRESS?

Consistency is the key to improvement in BJJ. We recommend training a minimum of two to three times per week to build muscle memory and see steady progress. That said, even training once a week is better than not training at all, and we have members at IRON WILL MMA at every frequency. Our coaches will work with your schedule to build a training plan that fits your life.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GI AND NO-GI BJJ?

Gi BJJ is practiced wearing a traditional uniform (the gi), which allows for grips on the collar, sleeves, and pants — creating a slower, more technical style of grappling. No-gi BJJ is practiced in shorts and rash guards, with no gi grips, which tends to be faster-paced and more focused on clinch control and leg attacks. At IRON WILL MMA, we offer training in both formats and believe cross-training in each makes you a more complete and well-rounded grappler.
