We met a few of Professor Sheldon’s students at competition and were blown away by their skill and composure. We routinely travel an hour and a half to attend open mat with them. My young sons love Sheldon and his instruction is impeccable. He is patient and kind but his expectations are clear - he wants the kids to give their best effort and he provides the tools to do so. He also spars with our older son; he cross trains in striking and is always looking for extra work. Insight BJJ feels like another home and we are grateful for Sheldon, Courtnie and everyone there. The entire facility is spotless; the mat is always clean, the bathrooms, shower and dressing rooms are clean and even the floor shines. We strongly recommend Sheldon’s classes and open mat for all ages.

If your looking for a new "home" gym or just traveling through Insight will make you feel welcome ! We were in town for two weeks (traveled all the way across America doing BJJ and are somewhat picky about where we train) read some good reviews so we stopped by to see how it looked and were hooked by the incredible atmosphere -hard to leave!! All ages , all levels. My husband and children all train but I've always been too intimidated to get on the mat- until insight! Great balance of men, women and kids! *Very* family friendly!! We will purposely travel through Kentucky again just to train here.

I come to Somerset a few times a year to visit family and I decided to check out Insight for some cross-training while in town. I definitely will be coming back! I was welcomed with open arms by all the staff and members, Sheldon even took time aside from his daily members to help me improve my game as well. Great ppl& great times at this gym!
