Reviews
I dropped into an open mat at Grapplers Station on 2/15/26 and had a wonderful experience. The mat was large, clean and plenty of space to do take downs. Lots of places to change and put your bags and shoes etc. Upon walking in I was greeted by a familiar face and asked to fill out the standard waiver. Quick and easy. I met some of the regulars who were very welcoming and met some new people to roll with. I highly recommend Grapplers Station if you’re looking for a place with a chill vibe, and you’re looking to get a lot of rolls in with people of all different skill levels. Super fun place.
I am so happy that we decided to try The Grappler Station for my 5-year-old. We've been going for 3 or so months, and my son loves the classes! It's a great way for him to get some energy out in a safe, structured environment. We're big fans!
I was visiting from the East Coast for Christmas and Grappler Station let me come FOR FREE for a few days just to keep up on my training. Training was intense in a good way and not spread too thin, focused on a key submission. People welcomed me and said they love the gym. They put white belts with more advanced belts to ensure people learn safely. If I lived here, I’d sign up and will be back next time I visit!
Our kids have been really been growing at the Grappler Station. The classes offer great exercise, physical training, body awareness, building teamwork skills and personal confidence. The senseis are extremely attentive and supportive while maintaining a high standard for the students’ engagement!
We joined the Dojo the first week of March for a two week trial….3 classes in and our 4yr old was hooked ( so was Dad 🤣) We love that we have been welcomed by everyone we come across…parents, children and each Sensei. Our child often talks about the Senseis (sp) at home and loves to practice what he learns each day. This is a very welcoming community, we love the expectations put in place in class and the follow through with respect and kindness when those expectations aren’t being met. The class is taught at a very age appropriate level, lots of repetition and some silliness thrown in! We are now in it for the long haul, at least for the next year! Can’t wait to see all the good that comes with it!! Thanks
Frequently Asked Questions
IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?
Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Grappler Station. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.
DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?
No experience necessary! Grappler Station welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?
For your first visit, comfortable athletic clothing works perfectly — a t-shirt and shorts or athletic pants. Once you commit to training regularly, you'll want to invest in a gi (kimono). Our coaches can recommend quality options at a range of price points.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?
Most students at Grappler Station train 2 to 3 times per week and see consistent progress. Showing up regularly matters far more than training intensely once in a while. We offer multiple class times throughout the week so you can find a schedule that fits your life.
DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR KIDS?
Yes! We offer dedicated programs for children and teens at Grappler Station. Our youth classes focus on discipline, respect, confidence-building, and the fundamentals of BJJ in a safe, fun environment.
