Gracie Barra Pasadena has truly been a blessing for my kids (ages 8 and 11). I had been searching for the right BJJ school for some time and feel fortunate to have found this location. They just opened this past summer, and Coach Haas and Professor David have been incredibly welcoming and supportive from the start. They both show passion for the sport and in teaching. The classes are a mix of structure, discipline and fun and my kids look forward to coming to class on a daily basis. I enjoy seeing their progress and love being a part of the Gracie Barra Pasadena family.
Professor David is the head instructor at Gracie Barra Pasadena. He is a jiu jitsu champion from the world renowned Gracie Barra HQ Competition Team. Prof. David's friendly and enthusiastic personality made me feel comfortable and excited about being in class with him. The atmosphere at the training center is friendly, family oriented, and fun. There is a lot of mat space, separate changing rooms for men and women...plus separate restrooms as well. They offer classes for the entire family. I highly recommend stopping by and giving Gracie Barra Pasadena a try! Helpful O Thanks 0 Love this 0 Oh no
Having known Professor David and Haas for nearly four years I can undoubtedly say they have a devout commitment to the sport. They are approachable instructors who have provided a welcoming atmosphere and pride themselves on a clean safe environment. A curriculum suitable for all skill levels, and a culture that fosters camaraderie rather than just competition. Any time I needed clarification on how to execute a move efficiently they were more than willing to take the time to provide detailed technical advice. GB Pasadena! 🥋 let’s go!!!!
I’m incredibly grateful to have started my Jiu Jitsu journey at Gracie Barra Pasadena. Training in Jiu Jitsu is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and this school has been the perfect place to begin. The Professors and Coaches are exceptionally kind and patient. They take the time to explain techniques clearly and make sure everyone feels supported, regardless of experience level. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and every class feels like real progress—both on and off the mats. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn Jiu Jitsu in a positive, encouraging, and respectful environment!
Professor David and Haas are great at teaching my 6 year old the fundamental basics of BJJ. They are friendly, instructive, and professional in the way they teach. If you are looking to start your younglings in BJJ, I’ll would highly recommended signing them up at Gracie Barra. Also, it’s a Gracie gym…so you know it’s going to be great!
