We brought my 6 year old son to Gracie Barra about six months ago. We appreciate Coach Joel’s patience with the young kids making them comfortable learning Jiu-Jitsu. He teaches the young ones joy-jitsu moves and listening skills through fun games and instruction. My son who was apprehensive about joining enjoys the classes. If you’re looking for a place for your kid or even yourself, I’d recommend Gracie Barra San Ysidro.
For anyone interested in learning self defense for personal safety and or/for your kids, Gracie Barra San Ysidro Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the ideal environment for any age and gender. Classes are available Monday through Friday depending on experience. Most importantly, the culture at this academy is one of growth, support and respect. Led by professor Joel, his teaching of the art of Jiu Jitsu, results in gaining self discipline and the confidence to protect yourself. Come and visit!
Hands down this dojo has top tier quality instructors with family friendly orientated coaches for Self Defense & Jiu-Jitsu. 10/10 recommend to all my friends to come on down, participate in this one of a kind gentle art of weaponless fighting, and what I consider one of the best in the southwest training spots here the south bay area.
