I was visiting Daytona Beach. I contacted the Professor. He was most welcoming. I was suffering a stiff neck from previous rolls at another gym. Professor Erique had me com early and treated my stiff neck. Apart from great Jiu Jitsu instruction he also is able to help with inj rehabilitation. The students were great to yrain with. Very respectful and as I am older, 69 careful with my injuries. I cannot recommend summit Fight BJJ highly enough. I will return again tomorrow. OS's.

Never trained jiu jitsu ever before walking into Summit. From day one everyone from professor to brown belts, blue belts and white belts were welcoming and encouraging. The gym is clean, air conditioned and full of people who are passionate about the sport and will motivate you to be the best you can be. If you ever have thought about trying out jiu jitsu, this is the gym to go to. It’s been an all around net positive for me, my confidence, strength, mental fortitude, health have all improved and I have already formed some great relationships with the people there. Can’t say enough good things about Summit, best place to learn, train and improve your jiu jitsu.

I came to daytona beach for a visit with the family and found great reviews on submit bjj. I attended the Friday class and the class checked all the boxes. The professor was very welcoming and his class was very detailed. The summit bjj members were also great to drill with and roll with. I would recommend this gym to anyone stopping by for visit. Thank you for having me.

I was in Daytona Beach on holidays for 2 weeks and wanted to drop into a few classes. I was sick the first week but was able to pop into Summit BJJ a few times the second week. The schedule worked great and Summit was nice and easy to find. Professor was very welcoming of me popping in for a few classes that week. Everyone that I drilled and rolled with were friendly and respectable. I wish I hadn't have been sick the first week. Would have been great to get a few extra classes in and get to know them better. Gym/Matt/ changeroom and washrooms were very clean. I think the gym is only a few years old. Seem to have a good core group of athletes. I would recommend popping in and hope to stop by 1 more time before I head back home. Thanks for the rolls.

Frequently Asked Questions

IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Absolutely. We invite all prospective students to try their first class free at Fight Sports Daytona. It's the best way to experience our training environment, meet our coaches, and see if BJJ is right for you. No experience or equipment needed — comfortable athletic clothing is fine.

DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE TO START?

No experience necessary! Fight Sports Daytona welcomes complete beginners. Our instructors break down every technique step by step, and our community is known for being welcoming and patient with new students. Everyone starts as a white belt, and that's exactly where you should start too.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, comfortable athletic clothing works perfectly — a t-shirt and shorts or athletic pants. Once you commit to training regularly, you'll want to invest in a gi (kimono). Our coaches can recommend quality options at a range of price points.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?

Most students at Fight Sports Daytona train 2 to 3 times per week and see consistent progress. Showing up regularly matters far more than training intensely once in a while. We offer multiple class times throughout the week so you can find a schedule that fits your life.

DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR KIDS?

Yes! We offer dedicated programs for children and teens at Fight Sports Daytona. Our youth classes focus on discipline, respect, confidence-building, and the fundamentals of BJJ in a safe, fun environment.
