It instantly became my home away from home, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every single aspect of my time here. The classes are well-coached and engaging, pushing me to new limits while always ensuring proper form and safety. Beyond the daily WODs, the specialized seminars offered invaluable opportunities to deepen skills and knowledge. CrossFit Arsenal is so much more than just fitness. I spent two great years working out in this gym. I was nervous about starting CrossFit and all the coaches here took their time to help me along the way. I met some friends and had a blast. I highly recommend this gym to anyone regardless of their fitness level. There is something for everyone here.

Arsenal is one of my favorite places on earth, and is an incredible community of inviting and motivated people! Attending classes at Arsenal guarantees you will have at least one great hour every day, and will provide you with an opportunity for personal growth across multiple facets of your life. The staff at the gym are top notch people who will always go out of their way to make sure your experience is positive, and according to my parents the owner Jason was “a very charming man” when they saw him on local news. Going to the gym is a great way to get out of your comfort zone, meet new friends and make small improvements every day!

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO START TRAINING BJJ?

Not at all! CrossFit Arsenal (and BJJ) welcomes complete beginners. We offer introductory classes specifically designed to teach the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a safe, supportive environment. Everyone starts somewhere, and our coaches will guide you every step of the way.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST CLASS?

For your first visit, comfortable athletic wear such as shorts and a rash guard works perfectly. Once you train regularly, you'll want a gi (BJJ uniform). We train gi here — our coaches can point you toward the right gear.

IS THERE A FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Yes! We encourage you to try a class before committing. Contact CrossFit Arsenal (and BJJ) to schedule your complimentary intro class and experience our training environment for yourself.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN AS A BEGINNER?

Most beginners see strong progress training 2-3 times per week. Consistency matters more than volume early on. As your conditioning improves, many students increase to 4-5 sessions per week.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A BLUE BELT IN BJJ?

On average, dedicated students earn their blue belt in 1-2 years of consistent training. Progression depends on mat time, active learning, and open rolling. Each stripe reflects real skill growth.
