About Castle Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
# Castle Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
At Castle Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we are proud to be part of the Marcelo Garcia lineage, one of the most respected and innovative systems in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our affiliation with Marcelo Garcia means we inherit a legacy built on technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and a deep commitment to understanding the fundamental principles that make techniques work. Marcelo's influence shapes everything we do—from how we approach footlock sequences to the way we develop our students' conceptual understanding of positioning and leverage. Being part of this family connects us to a global network of serious grapplers dedicated to elevating the sport and protecting each other's growth as martial artists.
Our training philosophy centers on the idea that jiu-jitsu should challenge both your mind and your body. We believe in building strong fundamentals while encouraging the kind of technical creativity that Marcelo himself is known for. Whether you're learning basic escapes or refining advanced leg lock systems, we focus on the "why" behind each movement—understanding positioning, timing, and efficiency rather than just memorizing techniques. This approach helps our students develop into well-rounded grapplers who can adapt and problem-solve on the mat, no matter their experience level.
We offer programs for all ages and skill levels, from our Kids classes that introduce the fundamentals in a fun, structured environment, to our Fundamentals and Advanced classes that serve both beginners stepping into jiu-jitsu for the first time and experienced grapplers looking to sharpen their skills. Competition training is also available for those interested in testing themselves in tournaments. If you're new to jiu-jitsu, we welcome you with open arms—every expert was once a beginner, and we're here to support your journey from day one.
