During a cold winter day, I did a drop-in at South Boston BJJ while visiting from the Netherlands. I attended two classes and had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the level of training was really good. I can highly recommend South Boston BJJ and would love to visit again the next time I’m in town.
Dropped in on a Saturday morning for the NoGi class and instantly felt very welcomed! Great and very friendly atmosphere. Nice people to role with. Highly recommending this gym if you are Boston local or traveling and wanting to train in the road! Thanks for having me! I will be back!
Great gym to train at in the downtown Boston area. The professor has a high pedigree of training with some of the best in the world of BJJ. Everyone was very kind and hospitable during my visit. The class was high intensity and made for some great and safe rolls. Highly recommend for anyone looking to train in Boston.
I was visiting Boston and had the pleasure of stopping in to train with Ruben at south Boston bjj. With traveling it’s sometimes hard to get training in that’s actually worth it, this place is definitely worth training at. Facility was clean, large mats and you could feel the tight community presence. Would recommend to anyone thinking of joining or great place to stop in to keep your training up!
Dropped in to an open mat over Thanksgiving and had a great experience. As a small woman, going to a foreign gym can be tough between finding safe rounds and feeling welcomed in the room. Out of 40+ drop ins South Boston bjj was the first gym I’ve dropped in at where I felt like any other gym member with no stress or awkwardness getting rolls. Everyone was super welcoming, safe and fun to roll with, and there was no stress over finding my next roll. It was a very refreshing positive experience, highly recommend if you’re looking for a high skilled, fun, and safe room.
