About Bismarck Ice Dragon BJJ and Kickboxing

At Bismarck Ice Dragon BJJ and Kickboxing, we are proud to call ourselves Bismarck's first and most decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym — voted Best Martial Arts Academy in the city in both 2023 and 2024. Founded in 2010 by Coach Josh after over three years of dedicated BJJ training, Ice Dragon was the first academy of its kind in Bismarck and only the second BJJ-focused facility in all of North Dakota. Coach Josh began his martial arts journey in college after training at a local Judo club, where a black belt mentor helped spark a lifelong passion for the grappling arts.

We built Ice Dragon on a foundation of family, discipline, and personal excellence — values inspired by the legendary spirit of Goku and the belief that anyone, regardless of their background, can achieve greatness on the mats. Our training environment is supportive and community-driven, welcoming students of all ages and experience levels from across the Bismarck area.

At Ice Dragon, we offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (with a strong no-gi emphasis), Muay Thai kickboxing, and kids martial arts classes. Classes run Monday through Friday evenings, making it easy to train consistently. Whether you are brand new to martial arts or have years of experience, you will find a home here.

Stopped in for a drop in session while in town for work and it was a great experience. The instructor even asked if I as an outsider wanted to work on anything. Great guys to roll with and I will definitely check back in next time im in town.

This is a very knowledgeable dojo with a friendly atmosphere and a smart and experienced coach. You never have to worry about people trying to bully or intimidate you because everyone is there to better each other and it shows. You will get in great physical and mental shape by going here. Osu!

Adult BJJ runs Monday through Friday from 6:45pm to 8:30pm. Muay Thai runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday plus Tuesday and Thursday from 5:45pm to 6:45pm.
