I started training with Andrew back in 2018, and I can honestly say this is an outstanding jiu-jitsu school. The gym is always clean, the environment is welcoming, and Andrew has an exceptional attention to detail when teaching. He genuinely cares about his students’ progress and consistently pushes everyone to be better, both on and off the mats. I couldn’t ask for a better gym or a better group of teammates to train with. Highly recommend to anyone looking to start or continue their jiu-jitsu journey.

Andrew is second to none! He works great with kids and this is by far the most engaged our little guy has been with any activity he's tried. Everyone is amazingly friendly and the instructors take their time and really work with the kids to establish their base skill set. I couldn't recommend this organization enough.

Training under Andrew is always a pleasure. He is incredibly knowledgeable in all facets of jiu jitsu and is a fantastic instructor. Clint and John are also great instructors. The instruction is engaging, fun, and easy to understand. The follansbee location is in a great spot right off the main road and offers some pretty great amenities for team building activities.

I started my BJJ journey in may 2025 and i don't think i had ever been more terrified of starting something new. I was an overweight, out of shape, mother of 3 who had lost all sense of who i was outside of being a mom. I was struggling so much with my mental health and losing that battle more and more every day. My best friend convinced me to come to Andrew Pardee's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and meet Andrew. I did and I've never been happier about stepping out of my comfort zone. I went in expecting that i would feel horribly out of place and judged by strangers who were far more fit than i was at the time. What i found there couldn't have been further from that fear. Proffessor Pardee has built such an amazingly welcoming community within his academy, a true jiu-jitsu family. The people i now train with daily are some of the most supportive and encouraging people I've ever met. Proffessor Pardee and his students have pushed me to prove to myself that i am capable of so much more than i ever thought i could be. My younger 2 kids 9(m) and 6(f)and I are 8 months into our journey and are absolutely in love with this sport. At Andrew Pardee's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy we train in a clean and safe environmemt. Here I am a part of the largest women's only jiu-jitsu classes in the Ohio Valley and also know he provides a safe environment in his co-ed classes (which i attend daily) and children's classes. I roll and train with men and women of all ages and walks of life. My mental health has improved more than i had ever hoped and my physical health is doing the same. I've lost over 40lbs and can't wait to keep that going. If you've been curious about BJJ, or already into the sport and looking to train somewhere new, this is where you need to be.

Amazing academy. Visited while traveling through town and was impressed with the cleanliness and class. The Professor Andrew really knows how to make maximum use of your time. The amount of knowledge and training he packs into a one hour class was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The other students were extremely friendly and helpful. I’ll be back anytime I’m back on this side of town
