About Anchorage Grappling Academy

At Anchorage Grappling Academy, we use all forms of martial arts — with grappling at the center — to build physical and mental strength through an innovative, methodical process. Located at 1300 E 68th Ave Unit 109 in Anchorage, we are a community-driven academy where improvement happens together.

Our instructors bring competitive experience and a genuine passion for teaching, and the curriculum reflects that: we start with fundamental movements, defensive postures, escape techniques, and submission attacks from key positions, then build layer by layer until students can apply everything effectively in live rolling.

We offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for all levels, Kids Jiu-Jitsu, striking classes, and an All Ages Fundamentals program that family members of current students can join at no additional cost. Whether you're training for self-defense, fitness, competition, or simply want to challenge yourself in a way that most activities can't match, the Anchorage Grappling Academy is the place to do it.

Dropped in while in town for Thanksgiving. Super cool group and chill vibes. High level jiu jitsu with very safe training partners and no egos. Easy number one choice if looking for a place to train.

WHAT PROGRAMS DOES ANCHORAGE GRAPPLING ACADEMY OFFER?

HOW MUCH DOES MEMBERSHIP COST?

Adult membership is $100 per month. Kids membership is $80 per month. Family discounts are available — contact us for details.

Yes. We have dedicated open mat and sparring time slots throughout the week for students who want to apply techniques in live rolling scenarios.
