Academy of Combat Arts Fargo
About Academy of Combat Arts Fargo
At Academy of Combat Arts Fargo, we have built one of the most accomplished martial arts communities in the region — a place where champions train and beginners feel immediately at home. Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is led by Dylan Spicer, a black belt who began training in 1999 under Greg Nelson and Pedro Sauer, with a perfect 7-0 professional MMA record and extensive UFC cornerman experience. He is joined by Cody Lincoln (black belt, national army combatives champion), Dillon Boen (black belt, active competitor and Physician Assistant), Ben Simons (black belt, Bellator MMA veteran), and Timmy Carpenter (black belt, raised through our program since 2009).
We pride ourselves on an atmosphere free from egos and intimidation. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu relies on leverage and technique over raw strength, making our art accessible to everyone regardless of age, size, or background. Our students compete and win at the national level in both BJJ and Muay Thai.
At FMACA, your membership covers our full range of disciplines: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults and kids, Muay Thai kickboxing, Women's Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, and Combat Submission Wrestling. New members receive a complimentary 30-day trial to explore the culture before committing.
Reviews
Awesome Facility! Knowledgeable coaching staff and a very polished team of Martial Artists. Every time I come to visit, I feel welcomed and ALWAYS end up leaving with a smile and a bag filled with sweat-soaked gear. If you are looking to train in Martial Arts in the F/MH area, whether it is striking, grappling or full spectrum MMA; The ACA should be your first choice!
I Want To Become The Next Boxing Champion!! My Goal is to go Pro in late 2027 or early 2028, (I wanna give back to the Kids & Teens that cannot maybe afford Nice/New UFC or Boxing Gear!!) I love the sport of boxing and I love watching mix martial arts. I currently been boxing for 4 years now, I hope I can go to more good gyms - Chris ‘The Lantern’ Green 🥊
ACA has been truly a wonderful place for me to train at. I couldn’t be more pleased! The coach’s all are very knowledgeable with years of experience. Being a woman, I feel safe at this gym and it’s a great environment with amazing people. This gym also has awesome women’s bjj classes and women’s kickboxing classes! I recommend ANYONE who is thinking about learning any martial art- Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA, BJJ - Check out ACA. Happy I found this gym!
only had the fortune of training here for one day, but it was well worth the time and effort to travel. if you live in the area, you should definitely sign up. i spent the day with one of their blue belts who also teaches classes there (Mr. Aaron Moritz) and my brain is filled to the brim; what more from their higher belts? great people with tons of great technique to teach. and the instruction is detailed and top notch. highly recommended!
Fargo is very lucky to have this gym! Everyone is welcome here. Giant facility. Great instruction. I have been dropping in to this gym for years every time I am in town. UFC fighters and beginners can safely train along side each other.
